Welcome Parents and Students! I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with each and every sixth and seventh grader at CBES this year! I am excite to say I am starting my 14th year here at CBES.  I am a native of Colonial Beach. I graduated from CBHS is 2004. I have been employed with CBPS since November of 2004. I began working as a paraprofessional which lasted for 8 years, and then I became a K-8 Title I teacher for a year and a half. In December of 2013, I began my career path as the middle school math teacher, teaching 6th - 8th grade math. As a child I always dreamed of becoming a teacher.

I attended University of Phoenix Online to obtain my Associates of Arts in Business Management and Bachelor’s of Science in Health Administration. Upon entering the degree path I thought that healthcare was for me. I was wrong! After working as a paraprofessional for so long I knew teaching is what I need to be doing. Upon completion of my associates and bachelor’s degrees I decided that I needed to go back to school and earn the additional credits required by the Virginia Department of Education to become a certified math teacher in Virginia. After what seemed like a million math and education courses here I am now with an endorsement in middle school math teaching at an amazing school with amazing students.

I have an amazing 9 year old son Kenny who is entering fourth grade this year. He will soon be a big brother in August of 2018. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend who I have been dating since 2004 and our children. I am very family oriented.

I look forward to working with each of you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. The best communication is parent-teacher communication.
